Girl Scouts 2012

I haven’t had any Girl Scout cookies for several years, but I got asked this year, so I decided to try all the new ones: Thanks-A-Lot, Shout Outs & Lemonades.

On Saturday night Ian & I volunteered for a Girl Scout fundraiser called Cocktails & Cookies. Local restaurants made desserts with different Girl Scout Cookies and everyone got to vote on their favorites as well as snack on appetizers & bid on auction items.

Green was the color of the evening, with purple for volunteers. I thought this dress was the perfect combo & choice.

We served the signature drink, which was Tumble-Tinis this year. Between these and tumbleweeds at Chester’s & the Lakeside Club, this has become my drink of the season. The Freddy’s Frozen Custard made these especially rich.

I have so many memories from Girl Scouts, it is great to give back.
