Highlight of the evening: Kumquats
And of course, watching Revenge.
I’ve completely fallen down the ballet rabbit hole lately (see my reading list, Netflix queue, Twitter follows) so I am even more excited than normal to tune in to the CW on May 31 for Breaking Pointe, a reality series about Ballet West in Salt Lake City.
“Beneath the beauty and glamour of the dance and costumes is a world of extreme athleticism, focus, dedication, passion, pressure and, of course, the hunt for the unattainable…perfection.”
Monday is A reveal day on Pretty Little Liars!
Super Bowl Outfit: Braids & Blues
We celebrated at the Stubby’s, which is like the best house ever to watch a game, due to their comfy leather couch and big screen TV, plus hearty snack selection.
As far as the ads go, obviously the sled dog - husky - spot by Suzuki was my favorite. I liked meeting Ms. Brown the new M&M, but didn’t really care about the spot itself. I did like two Budweiser spots: “Return of the King” that was on trend with its 1920s prohibition theme; and their through-the-decades spot (always like these), “Eternal Optimism.”
The Big 'Gossip Girl' Reveal
Nice summary on the state of Gossip Girl as we stand now.
Sled dogs to be in Super Bowl commercial
Suzuki released a preview of “Sled,” an ad that features the brand’s all-wheel-drive Kizashi sport sedan driving across a snow- and ice-covered landscape AND adorable sled dogs.
View the spot at the link.
In other sled dog news, MTV’s newest Challenge, Battle of the Exes, looks to include a challenge with dog sled teams. Can’t wait for that episode!

Fall TV
After a summer of The Bachelorette/Bachelor Pad, Pretty Little Liars & MTV’s Challenge, I’m ready for fall’s new shows. Actually, I love summer shows, but fall has some good ones in store. Here’s what I’ll be watching (CST):
- Modern Family, Wed Sep 21 @ 8 on ABC - always good for a laugh
- Revenge, Wed Sep 21 @ 9 on ABC - looks really good
- Nikita, Fri Sep 23 @ 7 on CW - a quality, often overlooked show
- PanAm, Sun Sep 25 @ 9 on ABC - excited for this one’s retro potential
- Playboy Club, Sun Sep 25 @ 9 on NBC - tuning in at least once
- Gossip Girl, Mon Sep 26 @ 7 on CW - only if I have nothing else to do
- Suburgatory, Wed Sep 28 @ 7:30 on ABC - checking out for Cheryl Hines
Any others I should add to the list? I might find a few more as the season moves in.
I’m looking forward to watching Expedition Impossible on ABC tonight.
I seriously thought about aplying for this adventure show.
However, for me & drama, it’s not a matter of if, but of when.
Sticking to type again with my personal favorite Blake on the Bachelorette.
